Learning objectives

Use git log commands to pull out a variety of information about the commits in git repositories
Use git log commands to visualize branches and merges in a git repository
Use the ungit tool to interactively visualize repositories as they change in realtime

Week 20 GitHub profiles and FLOSS

Learning objectives

Discuss the issues relating to public github profiles and give examples of how they might be useful or not useful when applying for jobs
State what FLOSS is and explain the value of contributing to open source projects
Use features of the github platform to identify ways one might contribute to an existing project and ways to which others are attempting to contribute
